Nainital, known as the lake city, is the most beautiful hill station to visit in Uttarakhand. This miraculous hill station is perched at an elevation of 2.084 meters above sea level. This place is the major attraction in Nainital. Surrounded by seven hills, Nainital covers a perimeter of 2 miles with a depth of 28 meters. This lake is the favorite place among all the travelers. It is believed that the eyes of Sati were dropped in this lake while her body was been carried by Lord Shiva to Kailash. Hence the lake was given the name Naini Lake.

It is one of the famous places in Nainital, with a panoramic view of Himalayas. This place is mostly covered with snow and one can see an aerial view of all the three peaks Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Nanda knot peaks. An aerial cable ride will connect you to the snow view point. The best time to visit this place is March and September.

Also known as Dorothy’s seat in Nainital. The enticing scenery makes it impossible to take one’s eye off this beautiful place. It is surrounded by the hills of Kumaon region. Besides all this, it is the best picnic spot due to its calm and pleasant environment. Tiffin top is at 4km from Nanital town, tourists most like the hike to tiffin top.
