MEGHALAYA-ABODE OF CLOUDS

Meghalaya, nestled in the northeast of India. Bounded by Assam to the north and by Bangladesh to the south. This place is blessed with a natural landscape, beautiful mountains, green forest also it is claimed as the wettest place on earth. SHILLONG

The capital city of the state, at an elevation of 1,520 meters. It is one of the popular tourist destinations. The city is mostly busy and energetic with a dynamic population. While visiting this city don’t forget to visit the Shillong peak which is 10km away from the city. Providing an amazing picturesque view from the top

WATERFALLS

The waterfalls in this state are just paradise on earth, which includes Imilchang Dare, Mawsmai Falls, Dain Thlen Falls, Noh Kalikai Falls, Crinoline Falls, Elephant Falls, Spread Eagle Falls.

BARAPANI AND UMAIAM LAKE

Barapani is known for its beauty and serenity. Umaiam lake recites in the city of Barapani. The locals here say that two sisters wanted to come down on earth but one of the sisters failed to reach. So the other one cried so much that it turned into a lake which was named as Umaiam lake.

CHERRAPUNJEE

Commonly known as Sohra and also the second-largest city of Meghalaya. The wettest place of the state with a picturesque view on every corner of the city.
